Abstract

Central Asia’s trade landscape has undergone significant transformations, driven by historical integration cycles and contemporary global influences. This research examines the evolution of trade from the Silk Road era to modern initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). By analyzing historical trade patterns, post-Soviet transitions, and current integration strategies, the study highlights the region’s achievements and challenges in fostering sustainable trade development. The findings emphasize the critical role of infrastructure, policy harmonization, and regional cooperation in enhancing Central Asia’s trade potential.
