Abstract

This study examines the influence of technology and innovation on the demand for tourism in the various regions of Uzbekistan from 2015 to 2023. The study assesses five important innovation mechanisms: digital innovation adoption, smart infrastructure, cluster participation, financial innovation access, and government support, using a panel dataset and fixed-effects regression model. Results demonstrate that all variables have a major and beneficial impact on regional tourist demand; digital and infrastructural innovation have the most effect. The results present evidence-based analysis of how multidimensional innovation methods could improve tourist performance in transition economies, therefore providing policy direction for sustainable and technology-driven tourism development in Uzbekistan.
