Abstract

The escalating worldwide need to manage climate change and environmental destruction has boosted attention toward sustainable economic procedures. The green business sector in Uzbekistan develops as a fundamental economic development force especially within renewable energy sectors together with agricultural development and modern industrial advancements. Implementation of green technologies faces substantial challenges since the country lacks financial support while experts are scarce while basic infrastructure remains insufficient. This research evaluates the growth potential together with existing barriers that affect green business development in Uzbekistan specifically for its economic growth and energy conservation and international market competitiveness. The country made significant advancements in renewable infrastructure development through Laws on Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency along with "Uzbekistan – 2030" Strategy and other supporting legislation. The country has experienced a rise in investments leading to 16 major solar and wind facilities while expecting renewable energy to achieve a 54% rate by 2030. The availability of funding is still a major problem which affects SMEs specifically. The article gives an integrated evaluation of Uzbekistan's green business structure by linking policy information to economic performance data and international investment patterns including GEFF's role and World Bank and EBRD partnerships. The sustainable development of green business requires investment in education and more financing opportunities while maintaining legal progress to make Uzbekistan a competitive player in the global green economy with reduced emissions and improved employment opportunities.
