Research investigates economic viability between organic and inorganic farming methods which small-scale and large-scale farmers in Erode and Nagapattinam districts of Tamil Nadu execute. Traditional agricultural practices which make up organic farming methods have gained more popularity because they offer environmental advantages and match market trends. The economic stability of organic farming in relation to inorganic agricultural methods poses essential challenges for farmers since they must weigh economic effectiveness against financial gains. The researchers conducted multi-stage sampling to choose diverse organic and inorganic farmers from both districts that combined different agro-climatic conditions between wet and dry lands. The research data collection combined surveys with interviews to understand agricultural costs and returns besides analyzing practice influencing elements. Organic farming cost more for total production expenses than inorganic farming since it requires significant investments to buy organic manure and machinery. The total profits from paddy and black gram and gingelly cultivation exceed those of inorganic cultivation in districts of Nagapattinam particularly. Organic farmers encounter major barriers related to reduced crop yields and limitations in market outlets which negatively affect their financial success. The research shows organic farming has opportunities for greater profits with particular crops however its financial sustainability depends strongly on farmer skill and local environmental conditions. Organic farmers need enhanced market connectivity and financial assistance accompanied by breeding extension services for policymakers to provide adequate support.
