If a nation wants to be considered developed, it needs to do more than just have a lot of natural resources; it needs to work on developing its human capital so that it can manage its natural resources well. This study aims to shed light on how much of an impact education spending has on increasing enrolment in higher education and how development in general affects a country's level and position in the world. In addition, we used the ARDL model to examine Swedish higher education enrolment from 2000 to 2021 and draw a number of conclusions, the most crucial of which was the presence of a long-term relationship between education spending and enrolment.
